1 – Reduce your impact on the environment – Grow your own vegetables, find alternatives to plastics and turn the lights off when not needed, any change in the right direction helps. At Hurawalhi Maldives we place the environment and sustainability at the very heart of our resort’s operations. Our solar panels contribute to the electricity needed to power the resort, our water bottling plant provides all the drinking water we need, our team nurture a wonderful organic garden and we say ‘no’ to plastic.
2 – Take regular exercise – Find something you enjoy, if you’re not a runner or a regular at the gym, try yoga, swimming, cycling or even a brisk walk to get the endorphines flowing and give you a great happy feeling! There’s no excuse for not exercising while staying at Hurawalhi, our fitness team is bound to motivate you to keep active, there are yoga classes, workout sessions and even a bootcamp for serious calorie burning. For a fantastic workout without you even calling it exercise go snorkelling, kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding.
3 – Eat more healthily – Plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, variety and plant based food days in your diet, along with drinking a lot more water than you think you need, will do wonders for your health. Sprinkle healthy additions onto your Hurawalhi breakfasts and lunches to achieve an easy balanced diet and then recreate once back at home. A variety of vegan delights and homegrown organic fruit and vegetables make the healthy options too tempting to turn down.
4 – Schedule regular ‘me-time’ – It’s all too easy to be constantly busy and just a few minutes a day for meditation, a pamper session or even just to read a good book will improve your wellbeing.
