Celebrating Hurawalhi’s Housekeeping Team
Behind every luxurious villa resort is a dedicated team and at Hurawalhi Maldives the housekeeping team, led by Flora the Housekeeping Manager, is second to none in providing a clean, comfortable and welcoming home away from home for our guests. The team’s work is appreciated every single day but during International Housekeepers Week, we shone the spotlight on the great work they do. The week-long festivities take place every year during the second full week of September so from 11th to 17th September we celebrated with some special events.
We kicked off the week with a futsal match where our Hurawalhi and Kudadoo housekeeping teams played against the corresponding team from Kuredu Resort Maldives, one of our nearby sister resorts, and the following day a volleyball match proved to be a lot of fun too. Both events ended with Maldivian snacks, drinks and high spirits within the team.
Apart from their sporting prowess, one of the skills our housekeepers love to show off is their bed decorating ability so it was only right to have a contest where they could put their artistic flair to the test. If you’ve stayed with us, we’re sure you’ve enjoyed returning to your villa to find a spectacular work of natural art adorning your bed to mark a special occasion such as an anniversary or honeymoon, maybe even a birthday or simply just because! If you’re looking for a destination where your special occasion will be made extra special, visit our special offers page for generous savings and allow our housekeeping team to surprise you.
Celebrations were rounded off with a Bodu Beru show, pizza, sandwiches and drinks to party like only housekeepers know how! The housekeepers’ work is often behind the scenes and unobstrusive but integral to the amazing guest experience that Hurawalhi prides itself on so it was a pleasure to be able to show extra appreciation to Flora and her amazing team.
